“Being a Hong Konger, born and raised in Hong Kong, I am fully aware of the demand and the atmosphere of learning a foreign language in this city and I can ensure you that learning a foreign language is never an easy task especially under parents’ high expectation which is no different from what most children are going through now. Learning Spanish from a young age definitely helps students build their competitiveness and confidence given that Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese.
Also, employment opportunities continue to increase for those who are fluent in both Spanish and English due to ever-increasing population of Spanish-speaking people. This means that being bilingual (Spanish and English) will continue to become more valuable for people with each passing year. In today’s economy, every advantage one can offer an employer is extremely important to a career.”
